LOU!

This is the one I have at work right now.

"Pink's not my color!"

I had a glitch in uploading these photos, so finally, here are the modeling photos of Ed that I wanted to post and a cutie pie picture of Lou. I have a pic of Ed in the blue blankie as the wallpaper on my office computer--everyone like to ooh and aah at my little Edhead.

Yummy!

The munky sticks were for the housewarming party. I had to put this on to show Galaura's cannibalistic ways. And the koala cupcakes I made for Casey's first graders when they finished their unit on Australia. Turns out I converted one kid into a "walnut fan." Yummy.

Kids? Who needs kids?

The black blankie makes this hard to see, but Lou and Ed are taking a bulldog nap together.

The baby boy with his aunt and uncle. GOD he's cute!

And this cute little guy is my nephew, Ed's cousin, B&G's BT, LOU! He's sooo adorable. I cried my eyes out the day I first saw him. Lou's bday is March 12, which makes him just 6 months old. He already thinks he's a big dog, but he is SUCH a puppy! Lou would do anything to make Ed his friend, but his antics usually do just the opposite. I think Lou is just too much energy for Ed. Hmm...I wonder if Lou has a blog modeling career in his future...

She's Baaack!

She’s alive! That’s right folks, just six months after my last post, I’m back in blogger world. Not because my life has slowed down so much that I have time to post and post and post, but because I made a couple of pretty cute things recently.

Turns out that getting engaged, buying, painting and decorating a condo, graduating, working full-time and planning a wedding are all pretty monumental events in one’s life. To increase the monumentality, I did all of this at once.

In June, just five short months after my friend’s birthday, I finally completed an afghan for her. Stupid me, I forgot to take pictures of it before giving it to her. So I’ll save that story for when there are pictures.

As soon as I found out someone I knew was having twins—a girl and a boy—I got knitting. Ran out to Michael’s, got a “Pound of Love” from Lion Brand in Baby Pink and Baby Blue, and got knitting on the pattern on the wrapper. Using my favorite needles, 10.5s, I whipped these babies up in about a month—not bad for someone who hasn’t been knitting in forever.

A couple weeks ago I went to a new Super Joann Fabrics near my future inlaws’ house. It was ENORMOUS with lots and lots and lots of yarn. Didn’t buy any, because I’m feeling guilty about still having so much yarn from my fiasco in November. Plus, most of what I liked I had already knitted or still own.

Well, attached, please see a blue hooded blankie and a pink hooded blankie for the twins who are due in October. Yay!

Next step—finishing a little sweater for my cousin in time for her 1st birthday in September. I had a great start on a sweater, stopped it to make the baby blankies. Now I don’t remember which freakin’ pattern I used for it. So I tore it out and started over. No big whoop.

Now I feel an urge in me to knit and knit away, just so I have more leg space under my desk a.k.a. knitting storage area.

It’s good to be back!
